Innkeepers Cottage is a charming 17th Century Grade 2 listed character cottage located in the centre of Frosterley with its village amenities and well situated for the pretty villages of both Weardale and Teesdale and the charming market town of Barnard Castle voted "second best market town in England" with the highly impressive Bowes Museum on its doorstep.
Ideal for romantic breaks situated in the heart of the Durham Dales, perfect for walking, bird watching or just relaxing and doing nothing at all.

The cottage has been sympathically refurbished with all modern facilities to an exceptionally high standard but has retained many period features including exposed beams, wooden floors and original fireplaces, one with an open log fire, ideal for those cosy evenings in after a day exploring the dales.

We also have the added advantage of a fantastic local pub, the Black Bull Inn and Coffee House, in our opinion the best pub in County Durham, with its flag floors, Victorian ranges, traditional beers and ciders, good food etc, the only pub in the country with its own bell ringers, truly atmospheric and best of all only 5 minutes walk from Innkeepers Cottage, winner of the 2007 "Most authentic pub award by Alaistair Sawdays special places, pubs and Inns of England and Wales".
